So, looks like I can look forward to many new users for the Wormworld Saga App! Remember, it is a free app and you can read the complete standard version of the graphic novel inside the app for free. If you want to support the project, you can purchase a Collector's Edition of each chapter inside the app which will grant you access to several special features which are currently exclusive to the app. I hope you all enjoy the Wormworld Saga App for Android!

In other news, I'm still working on the second milestone. A good deal is finished but this will definitely be the most elaborate milestone I ever had. The amount of detail in the panels is pure madness. I'm going to be very busy the next two months in order to get this chapter out in time.

So, better back to work!

  1. Hi Daniel,

it would be nice if you can design it for Samsung Galaxy S2 too, please.

    Yours Sincerely

    1. Sorry, you'll need at least 1024 pixel on the longer side of the screen in order to run the app. But there are smartphones that can run the app.

  4. Daniel,

supporting the Samsung Galaxy Note would be great: it has the required resolution and feels more like a tablet anyway.

You should also make sure to include and emphasize the fact about the free basic version in your app-store descriptions. I know several people who thought they had to buy the chapters before being able to read anything inside the app... And every lost download is a possible customer lost!

    Cheers!
    Chris

    1. I will find out why the Samsung Galaxy Note is not supported and make sure that we will support it if it's possible. Thanks also for the feedback about the shop description!

    1. Currently the Kindle Fire runs an outdated version of Android. An upgrade is expected for the near future and as soon as the Kindle Fire becomes compatible we'll support it.

    2. I'm running on a Kindle Fire as well and have been searching for a way to see the rest of Jonas' story for days!

Can you provide me with an update??

I love your work and want to read the rest of the story!!

  6. Hi Daniel,

honestly i'm dissapointed. I ve bought end of the last year an Samsung Galaxy Tab (GT-P1010) with Android 2.2.x, now i must read that this will not be suitable to enjoy the App.
I don't understand why this is locked to the higher Android versions as the resolution is 1024 pixel on the longer side with this tablet.
Further you have written that the development is delayed due to new Kindle Fire (in some earlier blogpost). Now this Tablet is aswell excluded?
I don't think that your App downloads will explode in the next couple of month ...

    1. I'm really sorry that you are disappointed. I hope you understand that at least some portion of your disappointment should be directed towards Samsung because they don't provide software updates for the older Galaxy Tabs. We can not support all legacy versions of Android because there are too many old tablets which don't have the processor power and/or memory capacity in order to run the app. Restricting the app to android 3.0 upwards is our way to make sure that IF the app runs on your device, it runs decently. But again, I'm very sorry! Concerning the Kindle Fire, please see my reply to the comment above yours.

  7. Awesome, I was just working out which way to go with a tablet and so I searched for Wormworld Android app... and here it was posted just 14 hours ago. Looks like you and Wormworld may have sold me on a Galaxy Tab Daniel!

  8. Too bad, the app crashes as soon as I open a chapter or the Artbook. I'm running it on the Asus Transformer TF101 with Android 4.0.3. I hope this gets fixed soon, by no later than the release of chapter 3. I sent a bug report after the app crashed
Hope the app will run fine in the near future, because I wantto use it to donate to the Wormworld Saga.

    1. The developers are very aware of this bug now (which many people with Android 4.X devices experience) and I'm optimistic that an update will be released within the next few days.

  11. Thanks a bunch for the Android version (Acer A500/A501), but support for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1v (GT-P7100) would be great ... my wife is a little bit upset because she can't install the app. ;)

  12. Weirdly enough, android market is claiming that my ICS-running Xoom is not compatible, although I can see that the Xoom is in the list above. Anyone else have the same issue?

    1. As mentioned above the app has problems with ICS powered devices. I think the developers have disabled the download for ICS until they solved it.

  13. I would love to be able to run the app on my Asus Transformer with ICS but it crashes when I click on a chapter... Hope it gets a fix soon.

  14. Hello Daniel,

I follow your story since the first chapter and i was impatient to get the app for myt ARCHOS 80G9(A80), but in the playstore that's say my device isn't compatible :/

    1. If the Archos 80G9 runs on Ice Cream Sandwhich it is most likely that the developers have temporarily pulled the plug on that download until they have fixed the crash issue with this Android version. I'd guess that the download will be available soon.

  15. I must have fallen behind a few days because I hadn't heard of the launch even though I've been following it for a while!

Do you know if/when you'll supporting the Galaxy Nexus? Or would it not appearing in the Play Store be related to the Ice Cream Sandwich issue?

  16. Can anyone provide the "apk" file or create a backup on any official supported device? :/ Would love to try it on my ICS Xoom.

  17. We have received some wonderful help from fans and Robot Media is close to resolving the crash with ICS devices. My current information is that an update will be released within the next few days.

  18. Please add support for the Galaxy Nexus :).

  19. So what about those of us that selected one of the pledges that included "free chapters" in the original kickstarter (and don't have an iOS device)? Any chance that we will get access to a corresponding number of "collector's edition" chapters in the Android app or something like that?

    1. I have just posted an update on the kickstarter project page that contains all infos needed by backers to get the free content.

  20. Could you add the Asus Padfone also?

Should be good with the 10" dock.

    Thx

  21. It won't work on the S3
Screen size is large enough: 1080hd
It loads, but crashes when starting chapter one
