Over 25.000 reads - You are awesome!

I'd like to say hello to all the new readers that were sent by boingboing. I hope that you enjoy what you found! I also want to thank Sarah Ellerton of The Phoenix Requiem for featuring the Wormworld Saga several days on her splashpage and putting the link into her favorites. It means a lot to me because 'The Phoenix Requiem' is one of my favorite webcomics out there. I also want to thank all the people who subscribed to this blog, the Wormworld Saga Facebook Fanpage and to my Twitter account. It is very important for me to know that I can reach you when new things are coming up. And thanks a TON to all the people who are spreading the word! Today, the Wormworld Saga reached 1000 likes on Facebook! And last but not least a heartfelt thank you to all who took the time to write a comment. It makes me so happy to learn about your reception of the first chapter. I almost feel guilty that I can't give you the second chapter right away. I swear I will make it worth the wait!

  1. Your comic is gorgeous and magical. I'm probably one of many who found it through http://requiem.seraph-inn.com/ so another thanks to Sarah as The Phoenix Requiem has been the only comic I've followed for a while now. Keep up the good work. :)

  3. Hey, your work was posted on Kotaku.com this morning, and I gotta say I absolutely loved it. The first chapter has such a strong hook and the art is absolutely gorgeous. I loved the exhibition as well, and I got especially excited when you mentioned your influence from Hayao Miyazaki.

I hope you strike it big and get to make as much of this as you can, because it's amazing. The world you're creating was grabbing me and pulling me in, I can't wait to see the next chapter.

  4. Hi Daniel, awesome first Chapter!

When all is said and done, will this novel be appropriate for a 10 year old girl to read? If so, I'd love to have my daughter start right now with the first chapter.

  5. Wow, kotaku! And Dinosaur Comics! I guess they try to kill my server, aren't they? :)

    @ Anonymous:

The whole story will be family friendly. It's going to have action and some dark passages (like the fire sequence) but your daughter should be save reading it.

  15. What a great story so far, I am sure you will be picked up by a publisher soon or something of the like. The story is awesome, really brings me back to my childhood of imagination and playing with my pet!

The artwork is perfect, I see every detail and ounce of heart you put into this comic in the graphical style.

What happens next? I cannot wait a year! :P Having this in paperback graphic novel form would be great when it is around 4 to 6 chapters long!

Love it, keep up the good work!

I sincerely hope that this story takes off like wildfire and that you'll be able to make it to the point that this is all you need to support yourself. I can't wait to see the next chapter! I'm really excited to see Wormworld. :D

Thank you so much for the amazing story and please please please keep up the fantastic work!

  20. Oh my goodness, where to start! I found the first chapter of your comic through Stumbleupon and was absolutely overwhelmed by the gorgeousness of it! My immediate thought after finishing chapter one was "Where can I buy this?!" and a couple of quick google searches led me here. I'm really looking forward to the next chapter!

  21. Congrats! Glad your comic is doing so well!
My epic tale inspired by your Journey Begins picture is going through its first major edit. I'm so happy to get the first draft done, and thank you for creating a scene so inspiring! I also was inspired by Trapped and A Pirate's Life For Me. :)
    I can't wait to query.

I just read your first chapter and I can't believe how much I picked up on from your painting and wrote into my tale! The circumstances are different, the names are different, but elements are clearly there. My character has a Nana, and adventures from HER house! What a thrill to be on the same brain wave.

  23. Once it has another chapter, you'll probably end up with a TVtropes page. That is, assuming your comic isn't entirely under the realm of "Genrebusting".
    God bless ye, Dan
